Foundations for a Successful Solar System Begin with a Comprehensive Site Evaluation
The site survey is the first and most critical step in the solar implementation process. At GPower Solar, we begin each project with a detailed, on-site evaluation to ensure the solar power system is designed with precision, safety, and maximum performance in mind.
This technical assessment captures essential information about the property and its energy usage patterns, laying the groundwork for a tailor-made solution that meets the customer's operational and financial objectives.
What the Site Survey Involves
Our engineering and technical team conducts a structured analysis that includes:
Energy Demand Profiling: We analyze your current and historical electricity usage to determine peak demand hours and overall consumption trends. Interval data is studied to understand how and when energy is used, enabling optimal system sizing.
Structural Assessment: We evaluate your roof type, roof condition, and orientation to assess suitability for solar mounting. For ground-mounted systems, land characteristics and available space are thoroughly examined.
Shading & Obstruction Analysis: Our team uses solar pathfinder tools and software to identify any shading elements (trees, buildings, chimneys) that could affect solar panel performance during peak sun hours.
Grid Connectivity Review: We inspect the electrical infrastructure and determine compliance with local utility grid requirements, including potential for grid injection, net metering, or hybrid integration.
Safety & Accessibility Considerations: We ensure the site meets safety, maintenance access, and structural integrity standards needed for long-term system stability and O&M efficiency.
